Bell Acres Resort is an facility for Recreational Vehicles. The enjoyment of the resort & the facilities should be equal for all members & guests & these rules are designed to make sure that all members & guests are able to gain maximum enjoyment & relaxation while at the resort.
All members, tenants & guests must follow instructions from the management either written or verbal. Management reserves the right to restrict entry or to expel, without refund, any person(s) who do not obey the rules. Your good behavior is always your passport.
Positive attitude: At Bell Acres Resort, all members & guests are expected to contribute towards a positive atmosphere. Negative or destructive comments are not acceptable. Above all, treat everyone with respect. A rule violation, complaint or suggestions should be sent privately to the management.
Membership: Bell Acres Resort is a private club & as such requires membership. Membership is subject to the approval of the Management. Potential members are encouraged to visit at least two (2) times. After the second visit, an application for membership accompanied by a check for the amount for the desired type of membership will be considered. Membership is extended to persons of all races, nationalities & religious beliefs. We do, however, wish to retain a gender balance in the population on the grounds at any given time. To achieve this, the Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any single member or guest if the population on the grounds exceeds a 25% imbalance.
Registration & Fees: On arrival, guests are expected register & pay their membership & if applicable overnight fee at the office. First time visitors will be asked to fill out our “Guest Registration & Liability Waiver” which will include a photocopy of a valid driving license. We prefer payment by valid Visa or MasterCard & admission & membership are provisional & subject to approval. Cancellation for cause is at the sole discretion of the management. There are no refunds for cancellation. Our daily membership fee covers the hours 10:00AM until 7:00PM. Day visitors should leave the grounds by 7:00PM. Guests paying overnight fees will be charged an additional day fee to remain past 10AM the following day. Club members are encouraged to bring guests whose first day membership will be free.
Office Hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Late April to Labor Day (Hours are reduced at other times). Traveling Non-Member Guests may arrange to enter at other than normal business hours by calling the office (706-677-2931) & prepaying one day’s accommodation, membership & $20 late opening fees. Day members may enter the resort during office hours & may stay until 7:00PM unless having paid to stay overnight.
Behavior: Members & guests should act & speak in a manner for which an apology will never be needed. Friendliness is the norm at Bell Acres, however, members are entitled to their privacy. Please do not press people for personal information. First name only is the norm & if your new friends wish to share personal information then they will do so at their own discretion.
Public areas: Any place outdoors, the Bell & Whistle, hot tub area, shower blocks & nature trails are for joint use of all members & should be respected as such.
Restricted areas: The residences on the resort are private & should be visited by invitation only. The maintenance facilities (equipment & shop building) are restricted to authorized personnel only. You are welcome to roam the marked nature trail but the edge of the resort is not marked & so it is important to stay on the marked nature trail. Swimming is not permitted in the lake. It is for relaxation & wildlife observation only.
Swimming Pool: The swimming pool is not attended by a lifeguard, therefore, you swim at your own risk. No one should enter the swimming pool alone. The buddy system is a nationally recognized swimming safety procedure. There should always be a minimum of two persons in the pool area while the pool is in use. Be alert & keep an eye on your neighbor. No glass or metal objects are allowed in the pool at any time. No running or horseplay is allowed in the pool area. DIVING is NOT allowed!
Hot Tub: Care should be taken when using the hot tub. Under some conditions the high temperature can have adverse medical affects, especially with the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Rowdy or boisterous behavior will not be tolerated in the hot tub area. No more than fifteen (15) persons may occupy the hot tub at one time.
Nuisance: Tenants & guests must not cause a nuisance to each other or to the management. No one should take matters into their own hands. Fighting of any kind is forbidden. Any complaint must be documented & sent privately via email. Quite time will be observed from 11:00PM until 8:00AM. Failure to observe this quite period may result in expulsion & in the loss of future use of the park.
Music: Playing music is permitted provided it is at a low volume & acceptable to other members or guests present.
Cameras & drones: The use of cameras & drones is forbidden without the express prior written permission of the management received. Smart phones often have an inbuilt camera & management may request a sticker be placed over the lens to show other guests that the camera is not able to function.
No smoking: Cigarette smoke is annoying especially to non-smokers. Smoking is not permitted inside any building & guests who wish to smoke must to be respectful of other guests. Cigarette butts must be deposited in the appropriate containers provided. Smoking is forbidden inside the hot tub building, the Bell & Whistle pub, the cottages, bathrooms, in the swimming pool or any other enclosed public area. Old cigarette butts in ashtrays are very unpleasant, especially when wet, & ashtrays should be emptied by the user into the trash cans provided.
No illegal drugs: The sale or use of Illegal drugs is forbidden. No prostitution: Any from of prostitution is forbidden. No weapons: No weapons are allowed in public areas
Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are permitted on the grounds. Excessive use of alcohol, drunken behavior or the use of abusive language is not acceptable. Obvious intoxication is strictly PROHIBITED & is grounds for expulsion.
Food: Food brought to the club & not eaten must be taken home. The kitchen & barbecue facilities are for the use of all members & guests. Members & guests must clean the cooking facilities immediately after their use. When an event is underway & food is provided, food may not be brought to the event.
Outdoor areas: Lighting fires, hunting, shooting, fishing, the use of fireworks or cutting of trees is forbidden on the property without the express prior written permission of the management.
Trash disposal: Please do not leave any trash or garbage on the grounds or in common areas. Trash & garbage must be deposited in the containers provided. Campers should place their trash in plastic bags & deposit it in the containers provided. Aluminum cans should be separated from the trash & placed in the appropriate containers.
Safeguarding personal property: Your personal property is brought to the resort at your own risk. Theft or damage to another person’s personal property is forbidden. Any personal property mistakenly left in the common public areas will be put in the “lost & found” & held for 30 days before being disposed of by the management.
Resort property, facilities & equipment: Causing damage to resort property or to the facilities or equipment is forbidden. Accidents can happen & should be immediately reported to management. Any damage caused whether accidental or otherwise is to be paid for.
Pets: Pets are allowed only if kept on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to clear any excrement left by their pet from paths & public areas. No pets are allowed in the cottages or the resort’s campers without express prior written permission which may be revoked. Bell Acres reserves the right to charge per night for pets & take a non-refundable cleaning deposit.
Gate codes: Your gate code is your private entry number & sharing this with another person is forbidden. Temporary codes for guests can be requested from the management. All deliveries should be received in person at the gate to avoid delivery drivers entering the resort.
Speed limit: The speed limit in Bell Acres is TEN (10) miles per hour. Tenants & guests must abide by the speed limit so as not to endanger other guests or wildlife at the resort.
Parking: All passenger vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas only. A car park is provided & so there is no parking on or alongside the roads below the pool. Members & guests who are staying overnight may drive their vehicles to their campsite or cottage to load or unload only. After loading/unloading the vehicles must be returned to the parking lot. Only golf carts may be brought up the hill behind the Bell & Whistle where special parking is provided. Those
persons using recreation vehicles for overnight stays should ask for parking instructions at the office.
Camping areas: Camping is not allowed outside of the designated camping areas.
Disputes between members or guests: Any dispute between guests &/or members will be resolved by decision of the management whose decision is final & without appeal.
Dangerous behavior: Behavior that may lead to self-injury or injury to other members or guests is strictly forbidden.
Illegal activity: Any activity that is against the law is forbidden at Bell Acres Resort.
Breaking any of the resort rules above may result in a member or guest being asked to leave the resort & being given a suspension for a period of time, from the remaining part of the day up to a life ban from the resort in severe cases. No refunds will be given to guests or members who are asked to leave.
I hereby certify that I have read and acknowledge all of the rules of this document.Any violation of these rules subject me to expulsion from the grounds with no right to return.
